Did Putin warn Obama of coming world war over Bee population collapse and US involvement in it?

Bee

Is this true? The internet based news that is going viral, is that the Russian President Vladimir Putin was so offended by the Obama administration's protection of Monsanto, Syngenta and other biotech firms in the face of rising concern of collapse of bee populations and its implication in plant pollination and food security issues for many nations.

The report stated that he kept the Secretary of State John Kerry waiting for hours, without coming out to see him, because of this issue, and that he apparently commented that this behaviour can lead to another world war.

Click the image above to go to the news source. I had sent the online paper an email, asking to speak with someone in Russia that can throw light on it. No response received yet. Meanwhile, there is no mention of it in the mainstream media in the west. Is that because the news is false, or could it be because mainstream media is no longer independent ?

You be the judge.

Thus spoke David Avery

David Avery owns and operates, along with his wife, the Lotuslad Vineyard in BC. He is one step beyond chemicla free organic farming. He is a biodynamic farmer. Naturally, he is a cherished member of our No-GMO gang of the lower mainland.

Between Jas Singh's farm, my visit to the Comox Valley, and my knowing David Avery, not to mention seeing what's going on with corporate promoted industrial chemical laden farming, I have, for the first time in my entire life, decided to grow some food in my own backyard. I have a 2500 square ft backyard, and a smaller front yard. I took four seed potatoes from Jas Singh, cut them into twelve pieces and stuck them in the ground next to the giant redwood cedar tree. Twelve little potato plants are growing, with minimal attention from me.

But, the lawn itself was getting to be a headache to convert into a vegetable patch. Too thick matting of grass with only a thin layer of soil and then stones. It was back breaking for me to uproot the grass, then dig in to remove the stones to a depth of a foot or so, and them prepare the soil.

So, David gave me an idea :

1. Cover a patch of grass with 15 to 20 sheets of newspaper.
2. Pour three or four inches of compost on it.
3. Plant seeds directly into the compost.
4. Let nature work itself out. The vegetables should be able to poke their roots past the papers. The bugs from the grass would not be able to poke through upwards into the vegetables. And in one year, the paper and the grass would begin to get composted.

And so, I took out the newspapers that were heading for the city garbage collection, and put it on a 4ft x 2 ft test patch. I poured some steer compost on it. And here is a picture of the contraption. Tomorrow, I should stick a few seeds into them, and see what comes out of it in due course.

BugEyeView
Above is a bug-eye view of it from up close. It took 30 Kg of the steer compost, to get between 3 and 4 inches of it over the newspaper. Come to think of it, should the insects from the grass try to move upward through those papers, the glitzy advertisements of fast food might prove a psychological deterrent for them. No ?
Thanks go to David. You can see his picture on the previous page. He is the guy in the middle with both hands in the air.

Preparation for the MARCH

25th May is the date for the global March against Monsanto. In Vancouver, the event is planned at 11 AM to start in front of Vancouver Art Gallery. Various kinds of preparation work are underway by different group of volunteers

FBAttendees

Meanwhile, the lower mainland gang has been talking of ideas themselves. Bobbie Blair has some idea about printing signboards to be posted at street corners in Surrey/ Langley area, to inform people about the march and inviting them to it.

She has also taken initiative to check about using a bull horn at the event. Persons that confirmed attendance are Wally Martin, Teresa, Phil Harrison, Bobbie Blair, Lucy Nickel, David Avery, and myself, possibly with spouces for some of us. Meanwhile. on the Facebook page, linked above, the persons to talk to are Shyanne Nyman, Christen Traversy.

MAP

I shall be taking pictures and filming the event. For that purpose, I recreated the hand drawn rout map of the march. Click on the map for a larger image.
