From a scientific and regulatory perspective - Dr. Thierry Vrain

Dr. Thierry Vrain, retired soil biologist and genetic engineer worked 30 years with Agriculture Canada. He is generously donating his time to give presentations in Vernon and Salmon Arm as well as elsewhere across Canada (see map attached). He will explain: what Genetic Engineering is, and how it began the documented effects of GE foods on human health what the future holds for us if Ge Foods continue Canada's regulatory processes solutions and recommended public actions Co-sponsored by the S.E.N.S. (Sustainable Environment Network Society), FASNO (Food Action Society of North Okanagan) Greenpeace (Vancouver Chapter), and GE FREE BC.

We thank Huguette Allen for arranging the event in Vernon, and for being so involved with the efforts in the local community to try and encourage local growers supplying local consumers, and the general issues of sustainability. And like she says in the audio (click on her name at the top of the page to listen to it) - you can come and listen to the presentation, or partake in the discussion, or better still, coax a locally elected official such as councillor or MLA or MP, to also come and inform themselvs from a scientist that has not yet been muzzled by the Government.
